The jQuery Toolbar plugin is built on jQuery UI and adds two new widgets to the library, ui.toolbar and ui.toolbars.
Toolbar adds the ability to create custom toolbars on the page with icons and text. It controls management of individual items within the toolbar. New items can be added, removed, inserted, and disabled. Toolbars can be set to float around the screen.
Toolbars manages a collection of toolbars. It creates toolbars within a container and allows for the toolbars to be sorted. New toolbars can be added, removed, inserted, and disabled. All configuration options are passed to any sub toolbars.
For both widgets, adding items must be done as an array. You can either use a selector which is a collection of toolbar items or pass them as an object. Each item can contain text, onclick, and icon (the class, not path, for the icon). Calling disable, enable, insert, and remove takes an optional third parameter for the index of the toolbar or item. Otherwise, all toolbars and items are passed the instruction.
No public events. Sizing not working in all browsers. During drag style does not remain consistent. Words breaking. Click event not called as correct element when element has a predefined onclick event.
In the examples, a link marked with ** must be run before the other items in the list
